With fall colors arriving and a chill in the air it feels like a great time to make a warm bowl of comfort food. This chili recipe is my “quick” go-to when I don’t have a lot of time.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 tsp. garlic powder
¼ tsp. ground cayenne pepper
1 (16-ounce) can chili beans, undrained
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
1½ cups water
1 Tbsp. chili powder
Directions
Combine first 3 ingredients in a Dutch oven; cook until beef is browned, stirring until it crumbles. Drain and return to Dutch oven. Add beans and remaining ingredients; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Yield 4 servings.
