This year was my turn to host the annual Easter brunch for the Lady’s Book Club. Whoever hosts the brunch does not have to prepare the main food courses. I only have to decorate the table and prepare fresh fruit and drinks, which is nice. Everyone else brings the food.
During the holidays things tend to get so busy and rushed. Do you feel like you never stop and “enjoy” the holidays? I do for sure. Each year I try to hold a simple luncheon to get together with a few friends. It seems so nice to be able to slow down a bit and just enjoy the season.
We have always made gingerbread houses every Christmas since the girls have been little. This Christmas I decided to throw Brittney a gingerbread-making party for her birthday.
This year the colors are far more brilliant than last. These pictures were taken in my yard. With all the spruce trees it really helps to make the color pop. We have many maple trees on our property so we end up with a very colorful bright yard. Hope you enjoy!
I was the chairman for the refreshment committee for our October Garden Club meeting. Karla being who Karla is I decided to put together a tablescape and make it a little special for the ladies. Why not, right?
