July is a very hot time of the year here in North Carolina. Summer is in full swing with Fourth of July celebrations, family vacations and back yard get-togethers. It’s a very busy time for everyone at The Gingham Patch supplying our customers with baked goodies to take here and there.
One of my bakery clients takes part in a yearly charity. The charity brings Chernobyl children to the United States for medical and dental treatment. The children are allowed to stay for two months with sponsoring families. My client has had the pleasure of hosting the same little Russian girl Katsiaryna for four years, and I had the pleasure of giving her a Princess Tea Party!
This week The Gingham Patch is celebrating Brownie Day at the Farmers Market. This year we have gone all out! We have made so many brownies this week that I have starting dreaming about brownies. We have come up with fourteen different kinds of brownies and we offer free samples for people to try.
The Gingham Patch recently had the privilege of throwing a Princess Tea Birthday Party for a very excited young lady. My client’s daughter was turning ten and she wanted to give her the “royal treatment”.”
This past Saturday at the Farmers Market The Gingham Patch celebrated Mother’s Day. The story how Mother’s Day came about is really interesting.
