The first gift was a mouse Christmas ornament for our older daughter. I made a replica from the ornament I have had since my childhood that the girls remember hanging every year on our tree. Now she can have her own to hang on her tree. For our younger daughter, one of her favorite candies is Jelly Belly jellybeans. I ran across these with a picture of Mickey Mouse (“not even a mouse”).
Over the past few weeks I have received many requests asking me to put together a Nutcracker tablescape for the holidays. So today I did just that – for you!
This is my fifth quilt and the largest I have made so far. The size is a double and the pattern is Modern Buzz Saw. I was a little challenged by this design but once I got the hang of it it went pretty fast. My oldest daughter moved into her own apartment this year. This quilt is for her in her colors for Christmas.
This is my fourth quilt so far this year. I designed this quilt using two Moda Pine Fresh Charm packs. Love the rich Williamsburg colors paired with several different neutrals.
This past May I was introduced to the joys of quilt making. A local experienced quilt making lady took me under her wing and taught me the basics. I have found it to be quite enjoyable and relaxing.
